Our conviction is that long term socio-economic development of the rural India is possible only by transforming Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry & Dairying into instruments for the development of our rural populace. To achieve this objective, the Bridge is collaborating with IFFCO Foundation, National Implementing Agency of the Govt. of India, Ministry Of Agriculture, for implementing National Horticulture Mission in the country.

A small & marginal farmer in Village Neolakarsanda, District Barabanki, UP, was motivated to adopt Horticulture as means to enhance economic status. IFFCO Foundation was then approached to implement Small Model Nursery Project at Village Neolakarsanda, District Barabanki, UP.

The project under NHM covers preparation & leveling of land, finishing, land development cost, survey charges, Maintenance Exps, Cost of Green House, Shednet, Plastic Tunnel and planting of saplings etc.

In this project, the farmer has opted for developing the nursery as mother nursery for fruit saplings and accordingly saplings of various variety of fruits have been planted in an area covering 2.5 acres. The Small Model Nursery at Village Neolakarsanda, District Barabanki, UP, funded by NHM, has been fully implemented by IFFCO Foundation and was inaugurated by H.E. Dr. A. R Kidwai, Governor Haryana, on September 06, 2007.

Further, to create awareness about income enhancement through horticulture amongst the rural populace of the area, IFFCO Foundation organized a State Horticulture Conference at Masauli, Dist. Barabanki, UP, on September 06, 2007. The Bridge collaborated with IFFCO Foundation for the conference. H.E. Dr. A. R Kidwai, Governor Haryana, was the Chief Guest of this conference.
